Edge Octagon U500-S Outdoor Video Surveillance Cabinet Product Overview
Edge Octagon U500-S outdoor video surveillance cabinet is a simplified version of outdoor power solution specially designed for video surveillance scenarios. The device contains 550W UPS, smart breaker with surge suppressor, lithium battery and POE switch. The whole system is made of galvanized steel, with IP55 level ingress protection. In order to reduce the cost and make the all in one plug and play system more acceptable to customers, Edge Octagon U500-S simplifies mother board design such as signal and power panel as well as system-wide monitoring unit. The Edge Octagon U500-S has the following main features:
- The system is equipped with a fan, but the main components in the system are industrial grade and can rely on natural heat dissipation, so customers can choose not to configure a fan to reduce the probability of on-site maintenance.
- Stable and industrial grade UPS with up to 92% efficiency and PFC feature.
- The system is equipped with smart breaker and surge suppressor, which can well defend against overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent, short circuit and lightning threats.
- High-efficiency lithium battery system, support customization.
- The system POE switching unit supports 8 channels of 802.3af/at, the maximum can support 130W (default version), 240W (Enhance version). And according to customer requirements, 1-2 POE++ 90W modules can be installed.

In order to achieve the goal of cost-effectiveness, we have made a certain degree of construction for our general outdoor ups cabinet and modular cabinet.
