Mains will face many challenges in outdoor scenarios. First of all, the power grids of many developing countries are very unstable and face the problem of frequent power outages. So power backup solution is a factor that has to be considered. The second is that the power grids of many countries will have problems such as undervoltage, overvoltage and surge. If they are not handled properly, the equipment will be damaged. The third is that the global power coverage is uneven, and video surveillance sites often do not have easy access to power. In this case, solar energy has to be used.

The challenges of the solar scenario can only be more. Solar power is outside. The solar energy resources in different regions are not balanced, how to fully consider the balance between the flexibility of installation and the availability of the system. 1.4 Power Protection and Lightning Protection

The lightning protection system itself takes up the space of the system and increases the cost budget. There are all kinds of cameras on the market, some require 802.3aft, some will reach 802.3at, or even 802.3bt. In other scenarios, the camera directly requires AC24V, DC12V and so on. Therefore, each video surveillance project may have its own particularity, and the power supply requirements are very different, which need to be configured according to the needs of the project.

1.6 Network Backhaul Equipment

On the outdoor video surveillance site, the acquisition of backhaul networks is varied. There are fiber-based GPON or Ethernet, as well as wireless-based 4G/5G technology, and P2P wireless bridges may also be used.
