Edge Span U60-5GP is a 5G All in One Smart Node specially designed by Edgeware for 5G outdoor edge access applications. Edge Span U60-5GP has the following main features for outdoor edge access scenarios:

• POE/POE+ Capabilities

Edge Span U60-5GP can access devices such as cameras, WIFI APs, microwaves and other downstream devices through POE/POE+. A 110W POE++ module can also be configured according to customer needs. And all POE interfaces take into account the design requirements for outdoor lightning protection. The POE capability of the whole machine can reach more than 200W.

• Powerful IoT Access Capabilities

Edge Span U60-5GP also has the ability to connect to various IoT Sensors and various controllers. For this scenario, we have designed various access and control capabilities such as Modbus, CAN Bus, 485, DI, DO, 20ma, etc. According to the needs of customers, we will assemble different modules to meet the needs of customer scenarios. Edge Span U60-5GP can also provide DC12V/DC24V/DC48V power supply according to the power supply requirements of external equipment. And all interfaces consider outdoor lightning protection requirements.

• 5G and Ethernet Uplink Backup Each Other

Edge Span U60-5GP provides 5G uplink capabilities, and also has 1000BASE-T and 1000BASE-X SFP Combo ports as uplink links. It can easily realize the setting of 5G uplink as the main link and 1000BASE-T/1000BASE-X SFP as the backup link. It can also be reversed, using 1000BASE-T/1000BASE-X SFP as the main link and 5G uplink as the backup link.

• Rich Communication Protocols

Edge Span U60-5GP supports various protocols commonly used by communication operators, such as GER, IPSECVPN, SMMP, SSH, etc. It is convenient for Edge Span to be used as part of the operator’s network to implement end-to-end deployment to end customers.

• Optional GPS capability

Edge Span has GPS capabilities, and this feature is available as an optional feature. When customers need to deploy it in scenarios such as tankers, vehicles, etc., Edge Span can provide accurate GPS information on the basis of providing all the aforementioned functions to achieve trajectory tracking and other functions.

• Optional Posture Sensor

The device posture sensor is an optional option for Edge Span and can be configured according to customer scenarios. This allows customers to track posture information such as device attitude and device X, Y, Z axis speed and angle. This is very helpful for requirements such as vibration detection of large water pumps, anti-theft requirements of the equipment itself, and precise equipment displacement.

• Maintain WIFI

Edge Span U60-5GP is often deployed in the wild or on Pole. When visiting the site for maintenance, it is often not easy to access the equipment. Therefore, we have configured maintenance WIFI in the device so that customers can access the device for configuration and maintenance without having to climb up the Pole or site installation location. The device’s SSID can be hidden. Of course, WIFI can also be configured as a public application to achieve WIFI network coverage in remote areas.

•  IP65 Fully Natural Cooling and Maintenance-free

Edge Span U60-5GP is often deployed in the wild or on Pole. When visiting the site for maintenance, it is often not easy to access the equipment. Therefore, we have configured maintenance WIFI in the equipment so that customers can access the equipment for configuration and maintenance without climbing up the Pole or site installation location during operation and maintenance. The device’s SSID can be hidden. Of course, WIFI can also be configured as a public application to achieve WIFI network coverage in remote areas.

• Plug and Play

Edge Span’s system will be configured according to the customer’s scenario requirements to achieve deployment, plug and play when customers arrive at the site.

• Configurable Software Platform

The scenarios faced by Edge Span are ever-changing, so we have designed a configurable architecture at the device bottom layer and application software level to quickly adapt to customer scenarios and achieve rapid iteration.
