How to Connect Edgeware Devices to Thingsboardors?

All Edgeware products support thingsboard. If customers use thingsboard for management, they can follow the steps below to set it up.

Find the Convegence Platform Setup in Edgeware Product

When you log in to your Edgeware device, click on the menu bar on the left. The rest of the menu bar may vary slightly depending on the model you choose, but no matter which Edgeware product you use, you will find the Convergence Platform Setup option on the left menu bar. We will use this option to connect to Thingsboard.

After you have completed the configuration, the next step is to configure the gateway in Thingsboard to report information smoothly.

Setup Up On Thingsboard

Then in thingsboard you need to add a new device, as shown above.

After you click Add new device, thingsboard will pop up as shown in the left picture. Please make sure that the Name is consistent with the Site Name on your Edgeware device. As shown in the right picture, the Site Name of our device is HQESU60LSP7, so we should also fill in HQESU60LSP7 in the Name of thingsboard. You can define the Device profile yourself. In addition, please make sure you enable the Is gateway option. When you are finished press Next: Credentials

Then we need to fill in the Client ID, Username, Password. Note that the same reason applies here, this information must remain the same as what you configured on the Edgeware device. When completed, we press Add.

When you are finished, there will be a new device in the Entities-Device column. You can see that its State is still Inactive.

Wait a few seconds and then refresh. The device status will change to Active, which means the device is online on the thingsboard platform. Please note that if the status does not switch to Active smoothly, please compare the configuration of the Edgeware device with the information configured on the thingsboard. Is your server network reachable? Does your server firewall allow the 1883 port message to pass? For specific debugging, please consult Edgeware engineers.

After a while, various sub-devices of Edgeware will be reported. The devices of different projects will be different. Please check the reported status according to the devices you purchased.
