Edge Span U60-LTEP is an IP65/NEMA 4 level outdoor POE UPS designed for edge network scenarios. It is a small and highly integrated system. By integrating UPS, lithium battery, and industrial 4G Node-Red router into a small IP65 system, customers can easily implement scenarios such as CCTV camera power backup and aggregation, WIFI AP rural area deployment, and IoT sensors edge deployment. Complete Protocol for Industrial Router
The node-red router embedded in POE UPS is designed based on the industrial router architecture. Supports a full range of networ protocols. For example, it can support ISIS and OSPF as a Layer 3 access router node.
Complete VPN Protocols Supported
System supports mainstream VPN technologies such as OPEN-VPN, IPSEC VPN, GRE, PPTP, and L2TP. So customer can use VPN to simplify their internal network IP planning and ensure the network secruity.
POE+/POE++Functions
The 4G node-red router in POE UPS has PoE+ Ports , the total PoE Power is 90W. Can also add one PoE++ 802.3bt port which can reach 110W.
Industrial and Control Interface
System supports 2 RS485, 1 RS232, 1 DI, and 1 DO. Modbus can be run on RS485. Therefore, customers can build their edge control site with Edge Span U60 LTEP to control devices such as battery BMS, solar controller, IoT Sensors, etc.
4G Backhaul Capability
4G module can be configured with CAT1, CAT4, CAT6, CAT12, etc. The wireless module can be used as the primary and backup for the uplink port of the device.
WIFI Supported
System has 802.11n WIFI function as optional . It can provide small amount of WIFI access for users in edge network scenarios. It can also facilitate engineers to access WIFI for configuration and maintenance.
GPS Supported
EX900 Node-red Router supports GPS function. It also has GPS tracking function, which can report coordinates, heading, speed, altitude and other information. It can be deployed in scenarios where tracking is required. It can also be used only for site location information.
GPS information can be managed by Node-red.
SNMP Supported
SNMP is a common protocol used by large enterprises, governments, and telecom operators. General node-red gateways usually lack SNMP protocol, but EX900 has a built-in complete SNMP protocol, which can be easily managed by the customer’s SNMP OSS in large projects, such as Zabbix, Solar Wind, etc.

WIFI AP Access Using 4G/5G Backhaul
For sites with low number of access and management requirements, the WIFI function of Edge Span U60-LTEP can be used directly. For sites with high number of access and management requirements, WIFI AP can be installed.

IoT Sensor Edge Control and Computing
Edge Span U60-4GP POE UPS can be used as an integrator for various IoT sensors or control systems in edge networks due to its all-in-one features and node-red support. Combined with Edgeware’s convergence software platform, IoT edge network one-stop delivery can be easily achieved.
4G and WAN Port Back Each Other
Edge Span U60-LTEP PoE UPS is designed with the reliability of the overall network backhaul of the system in mind. It can set up a master-slave connection between 4G and WAN port. When the master link is down, the slave link swaps as the main link. When the master link is back, the traffic goes back to the main link.
Main Steam VPN Supported for Enhanced Security
Edge Span U60 LTEP supports mainstream VPN technology, making IP address planning for edge deployment clearer and easier, and also enables direct login for edge site management, making management more convenient. More importantly, it protects data security.
UPS Remote Monitoring and Management
The UPS system is the core component of the Edge Span U60-LTEP PoE UPS. Its stable operation is crucial to the entire system. The UPS operating status, input and output parameters, and various alarm conditions can be monitored and managed. This allows maintenance personnel to know the working status of the UPS system remotely by monitoring the operating parameters.
Battery Management System
The life and operation of the battery are also very important for the operation of Edge Span U60-LTEP, especially when there are a large number of sites and power outages are very frequent. After 5-10 years of site deployment, it is inevitable that some batteries will need to be replaced because they have exceeded the usage limit. At this time, if there is a battery management system in the Edge Span U60-LTEP, its status can be remotely monitored to understand the number of charge and discharge cycles to determine the maintenance plan. The built-in BMS of Edge Span U60 can provide you with various information such as battery voltage, current, power, power, number of cycles, single cell voltage, cell voltage balance, etc. to help you understand its operation status through our software platform at the maintenance center.
Envrionment Management
The deployment environment of Edge Span U60-LTEP is relatively complex, so Edge Span has built-in temperature and humidity sensors that can synchronize real-time conditions to the software platform.
POE Switch Management and Control
The POE switch board embedded in the system will be managed by our software platform. The port status can be remotely managed through the software platform. The POE port can be remotely controlled to shut down and restart. Based on this function, the CCTV system can be restarted remotely to solve the camera freeze problem in most cases. Please pay attetion , in Edge Span U60-LTEP PoE port also can be controlled by Node-Red,so the control can merge into Node-red code to impeletement the control logic with other devices or trigger condition.
