Edge Span S60-LSP-3 Solar Power Supply for IP Camera is an all in one outdoor smart node designed specifically for solar power supply for IP camera scenarios. Different from general CCTV outdoor cabinet, it adopts a highly integrated design method to integrate solar system, battery, layer 2 POE switch, monitoring and management into a completely rust-proof IP65 enclosure to facilitate the one-stop deployment of rural area CCTV cameras. At the same time, Edge Span S60-LSP-3 can also be used in rural Internet connection coverage scenarios to provide solar power and network aggregation for wireless P2P/P2MP antenna and WIFI system.

Integrated with Solar and Battery
Edge Span S60-LSP-3 Solar Power Supply for IP Camera is designed for CCTV camera deployment in rural areas. To address the problem of difficult access to electricity in rural areas, the system has a built-in MPPT solar controller and lithium battery. The battery capacity reaches 2640Wh, and the camera’s system runtime reaches more than 48 hours.
Pre-Integration for Easy Deployment
Solar Power Supply for IP Camera is designed to be deployed in rural areas, where the installation and commissioning costs are much higher than those in downtown areas. Therefore, the traditional CCTV outdoor cabinet patchwork solution is not suitable for this scenario. Edge Span S60 is designed to be highly integrated, plug and play. This eliminates the need for wiring integration between different components at the site, greatly reducing the annual site installation costs.
IP65/NEMA4X Design
In the scenario where CCTV needs to use solar power, the external environment in which the equipment is installed is bound to be more complex. Complete POE+/POE++ Function
The typical configuration of Edge Span S60-LSP-3 provides 3 802.3at (POE+) interfaces so that customers can power various WIFI APs, CCTV cameras and other devices at outdoor sites. For some special scenarios, 802.3bt (POE++) interfaces can be provided according to customer needs. We will recalculate the power budget of the entire solar battery enclosure based on the customer’s power so as to determine the final configuration plan with the customer.
Remote Monitoring and Management

- Wireless Relay Node
In the Solar Power Supply for IP Camera scenario, the CCTV camera is far away from the headquarters NVR. Another possibility is that the CCTV camera is far away from the network that can be used to transmit back to the headquarters NVR server. In this case, wireless P2P/P2MP devices are generally used for backhaul. At this time, a series of wireless relay nodes need to be established. These wireless relay nodes are usually two or three wireless antennas back to back to achieve the extension of the transmission distance. Most wireless P2P/P2MP devices can be powered by POE.
- Wireless Access Node
CCTV cameras are usually located in the access nodes of the entire network architecture. These access nodes are connected to wireless P2P/P2MP devices through the upstream interface and CCTV cameras through the downstream interface. Because the wirelsss devices connected to the upstream interface require POE power supply, the solar power supply here needs to provide WAN interface POE output capability, and the LAN interface must also support POE to power the CCTV camera.
