UPS for CCTV system Edge Span U60-5GP is an IP65 outdoor UPS system designed by Edgeware for video surveillance project deployment. The device is equipped with an industrial level 300W UPS and 48V10AH lithium battery power backup for CCTV camera. The function of Edge Span U60-5GP is not only a UPS for CCTV system, but also an all-in-one smart node. It provides three 1000Base-T LAN ports to provide 802.3at-based POE+ for CCTV cameras. It also provides a 1000Base-X or 1000Base-T WAN port. Sometimes, it is not easy to obtain wired network like fiber for rural area CCTV cameras. Edge Span U60-5GP has built-in 4G/5G wireless backhaul. The corresponding wireless module can be configured according to the frequency band required by the customer. In addition, Edge Span U60-5GP is equipped with an industrial router and can be used as a layer 3 node. And because of its powerful edge control and computing capabilities, it can be used as an IoT edge control gateway to integrate IoT sensors to help customers deploy overall solutions. Features of UPS for CCTV System
IP65/NEMA4X
The deployment scenario of UPS for CCTV system Edge Span U60-5GP is based on outdoor video surveillance and edge IoT access. And its backhaul is mostly based on 4G/5G. So it can be imagined that the external environment in these areas is relatively harsh. Therefore, UPS for CCTV system is designed to be IP65/NEMA4X waterproof grade.
Outdoor Optimized Rugged Design

Surge Protection
Another major challenge in the outdoor environment is surge protection. UPS for CCTV system requires a comprehensive design and consideration of the lightning protection and grounding of the entire system. For power input and power output, lightning protection of 20Ka level or above is required. For other signal interfaces, such as Ethernet port and signal port, lightning protection is also required. This allows the entire system to work stably and long-term outdoors.
All Components Natural Heat Dissipation
Edgeware’s Edge Span series products are all based on the cooling design of natural heat dissipation, so do Edge Span U60-5GP UPS for CCTV system. We believe that the natural heat dissipation feature is different from the cooling design of general FANs. The whole system does not have the limitation of the FAN mechanical part, so that the whole system can be maintained and operated for ten years. This greatly saves the cost of engineers visiting the site for maintenance and directly saves OPEX.
High Temperature Resistant Long Life Battery

Edge Span U60-5GP UPS for CCTV System is mainly designed for 1-3 cameras. Please note that, unlike other types of outdoor ups from Edgeware, this model is more used in scenarios that require 4G/5G backhaul, or fiber as main uplink and 4G/5G as backup link. This model can also be used more in scenarios that require edge computing and edge control.

Port Configuration
As shown in the figure above, the port configuration of Edge Span U60-5GP UPS for CCTV System. There are 3 LAN Port 1000Base-T, of which one ports support 802.3bt 110W and two ports support 802.3at 30W. In addition, the uplink port is generally configured as one 1000Base-T and one 1000Base-X, they are combo port.
If the customer needs to add POE to the uplink port, it can be customized according to the customer’s needs. We found that there are many scenarios where customers need to add passive POE to the uplink port to match the POE standard requirements of the uplink microwave.

5G and WAN Port Backup Each Other
Edge Span U60-5GP UPS for CCTV system is designed with the reliability of the overall network backhaul of the system in mind. It can set up a master-slave connection between 4G/5G and Fiber WAN. When the master link is down, the slave link swaps as the main link. When the master link is back, the traffic goes back to the main link.

UPS Remote Monitoring and Management

Battery Management System
